Office Partition Cleaning
Modern offices use partitions to create semi-private office spaces for their employees. Like any office walls, they will become marked, dusty, or dirty over time. Depending on the material they’re made of, cleaning them can be fairly simple or challenging. For most partitions, we can remove dust or dry dirt particles with a vacuum upholstery attachment. For solid, non-porous dividers, we’ll use mild soap and water and a sponge or cloth to remove dirt, smears, and stains. For fabric partitions, we prefer to use a damp non-abrasive cloth or soft nylon brush and lightly brush the surface area without saturating the fabric. Then we towel dry after cleaning. We avoid alcohol- or ammonia-based products as they can damage the surface coating of non-porous panels. Sometimes it’s difficult to know how durable or delicate some office partition walls are and the best method for cleaning them. Our A Plus professionals have the knowledge and experience to keep your office partitions clean, fresh, and undamaged.
If spot cleaning is necessary, most often we will use a light spray solution of mild soap and warm water. We will use a nylon brush or non-abrasive cloth to gently brush the area until the stain is lifted. Our professionals use proven techniques to prevent damage or discoloration to the area being cleaned. In some cases, we may use a fabric cleaner to treat the spots on a partition. We will mist the area lightly, allowing the cleaner to loosen the soil, and then gently clean it with a soft cloth or brush.
To ensure the longevity of your partitions, we recommend that between professional cleanings, you take care to clean up any spills or stains as soon as they occur with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Don’t soak the area as this can cause discoloring or damage, especially to fabric panels. If done immediately, this will often prevent the stains from becoming permanent. Also, as your partitions will attract dust, lint, hair, and other detritus, dusting or light vacuuming regularly will keep them looking clean and attractive, and prevent them from looking dull, dingy, or grimy.
